Skulptureconcours, organiséiert vun Aktikulti an der Stengeforter Gemeng, mat sengem Projet „Transformation“ iwwerzeegen – eng Skulptur, déi d’Industriegeschicht vun eiser Regioun mat der Natur a Verbindung bréngt. Eng poetesch a gläichzäiteg interaktiv Installatioun, déi dozou opfuerdert, iwwert d’Relatioun tëscht Mënsch, Natur a Vergaangenheet nozedenken.

D’Wierk gëtt Mëtt 2026 um symbolträichtege Site vum Mirador „Op der Berk“ (aplaz vum Dino) installéiert an ergänzt domat de Skulpture Wee, deen eis 4 Dierfer duerch zäitgenëssesch Konschtwierker verbënnt.

Kënschtler aus 12 verschiddene Länner haten hir Virschléi a Form vun detailléierte Pläng a Modeller fir dëse Concours agereecht. Sämtlech Projete waren de leschte Weekend an der aler Schmelz ausgestallt. Fir all déi Virwëlzeg: d’Maquette „Transformation“ ass an der Entrée vum Gemengenhaus ze fannen.

Le lauréat de la 7e édition du concours de sculpture est connu ! C’est l’artiste berlinois Markus Hoffmann qui a séduit le jury du concours de sculpture, organisé par Aktikulti asbl et la commune de Steinfort, avec son œuvre « Transformation », une sculpture inspirée de l’histoire industrielle de notre région et pensée en dialogue avec la nature. Cette œuvre poétique et interactive, qui invite à réfléchir à notre lien avec le paysage, le temps et la mémoire collective.

Son installation aura lieu en été 2026 sur le site emblématique du Mirador « Op der Berk » (à l’ancien emplacement du Dino), et viendra enrichir le Skulpturewee, notre parcours artistique qui relie nos 4 villages à travers des œuvres contemporaines.

Des artistes venus de 12 pays différents avaient soumis leurs propositions sous forme de plans détaillés et de maquettes. Les projets étaient exposés le week-end dernier au centre culturel al Schmelz.  Pour les curieux·euses : La maquette de l’œuvre gagnante est déjà visible à l’entrée de la maison communale.

The winner of the 7th edition of the sculpture competition has been announced! Berlin artist Markus Hoffmann won over the jury of the competition organised by Aktikulti asbl and the municipality of Steinfort with his sculpture, 'Transformation'. Inspired by the industrial history of our region, the piece is designed to interact with nature. This poetic, interactive piece invites us to consider our relationship with the landscape, time, and collective memory.

It is set to be installed in the summer of 2026 at the iconic Mirador 'Op der Berk' (on the former site of the Dino), where it will enrich the Skulpturewee — our art trail connecting our four villages with contemporary works.

Artists from 12 different countries submitted proposals in the form of detailed plans and models. These projects were exhibited last weekend at the Al Schmelz cultural centre. For those who are curious, the model of the winning work is actually on display at the entrance to the town hall!
